We are proud to announce the availability of the COVID-19 Variant Catcher kit, our last-born solution to help limit the spread of the recently identified, highly transmissible variants of SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The assay is intended to be used as a reflex test on SARS-CoV-2 positive samples and is able to detect and differentiate the UK and ZA/BR variants by positive identification of 2 characteristic variations or their “wild type” form for each of them.
The COVID-19 Variant Catcher Kit (Ref. RT-27, CND W0105040519) is available in a 96-reactions format. It has been validated on the Qiagen RotorGene Q®, BioRad CFX-96 and Thermo Fisher AB 7500 instruments, and is compatible with other open-platform real-time thermal cyclers capable of reading the FAM, HEX, Texas Red and Cy5 fluorescence signals.
