quanty HHV-6
The quanty HHV 6 system is an in vitro diagnostic test for identification and quantification of U38 gene region of Human herpesvirus 6 genome, by Real-Time PCR.
Human herpesvirus (HHV)--6 infections are ubiquitous. Primary infection with the virus is associated with roseola infantum (exanthem subitum) but infection or reactivation under immunocompromised conditions, such as bone marrow or solid organ transplantation, can often result in serious clinical manifestations. HHV 6 detection and quantification by Real-Time PCR is essential to quickly set up an appropriate treatment and often prevent serious complications.
